We are pleased to offer our four favorite Back Creek Farms Infused Maple Syrups, infused with native and organic ingredients. In addition to “spicing up” your pancakes, waffles, oatmeal or Greek yogurt in the morning, they are wonderful glazes for meat, fish and vegetables. Use them in your baked goods for added flavor. And they make flavorful additions to tea, smoothies and cocktails.
Cardamom Infused Maple Syrup: cardamom is a prevalent spice in Indian, Middle Eastern, North African and Scandinavian cooking. It has a complex flavor with hints of lemon and mint, spicy and herbal at the same time, that brings an instant warmth and sweetness to any recipe. We drizzle it on sweet potatoes before roasting and use it as a finishing stir-in to a chicken or pork stir fry or curry.
Ginger Infused Maple Syrup: we use it as a glaze for salmon, chicken or pork, just a drizzle when they come off the grill. We love it on steamed asparagus or in a fresh fruit cocktail and add a teaspoon to our green tea for a natural warmth. And it is a great natural sweetener for cake and cookie recipes.
Spiced Elderberry Infused Maple Syrup: native Highland County elderberries are combined with cinnamon and organic ginger to complement all the antioxidants for which elderberries are known. We stir it in our oatmeal, granola, Greek yoghurt and fresh mixed fruit for a healthy antioxidant boost. Use it as a sweetener for green tea or make a healthy evening “toddy” by stirring it into a mug of warm milk or other adult beverage!
Vanilla Cinnamon Maple Syrup: the perfect combination of three favorite flavors! We love it on oatmeal and ice cream and it makes an amazing latte. Use it as a sweetner in baked goods to bump up the flavor or as a simple drizzle to top off your favorite pound cake.
